Remote Position: Transmission Planning Engineer - Mid Level

We are seeking a Mid-level Transmission Planning Engineer for multiple office locations with remote work options available. Candidates can indicate their preferred location in the application.

**Must work within the USA, preferably Texas.**

**Roles and Responsibilities:**
-Lead network studies for utilities and ISOs.
-Interface with engineers to prepare computer-based models.
-Conduct various power system studies: feasibility, system impact, reactive compensation, stability, planning, short circuit, load flow, interconnection, and power factor correction.
-Engage in proposal writing and customer interactions to develop new opportunities.

**Required Education/Experience:**
-BSEE degree.
-5+ years in transmission planning system studies.
-Must be able to lead system impact studies.
-Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
-3+ years with PSS/E.
-Project leadership and mentoring experience.
-Familiarity with ERCOT interconnection processes.
-Willingness to travel up to 10%.

**Desired Education/Experience:**
-MSEE or PhD.
-5+ years with PSS/E.
-7-10 years in transmission planning studies.
-PE registration or equivalent.
-Experience with additional software: PSLF, TARA, PSCAD, Aspen Oneliner, ETAP, Power World.
-Coding and automation skills.

**Compensation:**
