Mechanical Engineer

POSITION SUMMARYThe Mechanical Engineer is responsible for supporting manufacturing and repair work through the creation and maintenance of engineering documents and communication of essential information.ESSENTIAL DUTIESApply engineering principles & established drafting practices to create products that meet customer specifications and expectationsCreate prints using Autodesk InventorCreate bills of material and work instructionsCoordinate machining, outside processes, and address any manufacturing issues that ariseEstimate cost of potential jobs for quoting purposesReverse engineer from damaged partsMeet internal and external deadlinesOccasional travel to customer or vendor locationsPerform other related duties as assignedSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position does not require supervisory responsibilitiesREQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIESBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering preferredExperience with hydraulicsKnowledge of common carbon, alloy, and stainless steelsKnowledge of industrial heat treatment and plating processesExcellent mechanical and technical skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWork closely with machinists, welders, mechanics, and salesBasic knowledge of safe driving and movement of bulk materials using a forklift is a plusBENEFITSAlong with competitive compensation and career advancement opportunities, we offer a comprehensive total rewards package.
