Project Overview:Bechtel is partnering with NextDecade to support their vision to provide the world access to lower carbon intensive energy with their Rio Grande LNG (RGLNG) project in Brownsville, Texas.RGLNG is a natural gas liquefaction and export terminal situated on a 984-acre site on the banks of the Brownsville ship channel. The first phase of the RGLNG project consists of three liquefaction trains, two storage tanks and one marine berth. At full capacity, the five-train facility will have a production capacity of 27 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).Project Location Overview:Brownsville, Texas is a city known for its diverse history, tradition, and rich culture. Brownsville covers innovation, looks forward to the future and beyondJob Summary:In this role, you will assist with material planning and/or material coordination for a small to medium project site. Planning activities will include clear identification of required materials, and details for how they will be stored and shipped. Coordination activities will include reporting of material work package statuses for installation. Your efforts will assist with adequate and accurate materials and equipment at the jobsite. #LI-CS1Major Responsibilities:Material Coordination Performs material coordination activities at a jobsite within material discipline of responsibility to ensure the accurate reporting of material and equipment work package statuses for installation Monitors planned inventory control mechanisms, such as min-max and bag-and-tag and uses Digital Supply Chain tools Continuously performs priority allocations to ensure material availability well in advance of installation requirements Coordinates material availability in support of design revisions, rework, contingency or work-around plans Participates in Construction and/or Subcontractor planning meetings to be fully aware of changes in installation plans and priorities Coordinates with warehouse personnel for materials to be issued direct to the installation area, as opposed to being controlled in storage Coordinates the constructability look ahead meetings Prepares the site constructability reports as inclusive of 30, 60, and 90-day lookaheads Material Planning Verifies that material requisitions clearly identify required pay items and reflect a level of detail in which materials will be shipped and identified for storage and control prior to distribution to Construction for installation Coordinates material planning activities for a material discipline area of responsibility Maintains direct working relationship with Project Controls, Discipline Engineers, Supply Chain, Automation Support and/or Construction Coordinator to ensure that construction personnel are provided with materials to assist with the completion of the construction work Monitors Engineering and Supply Chain deliverable schedules to meet the construction schedule Monitors materials components aspects of the project Automation Plan related data transfers between the functional groups with respect to assigned discipline area of responsibility Education and Experience Requirements: Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experienceRequired Knowledge and Skills: Advanced knowledge of all procurement operations related to the management of materials at area, regional, temporary and jobsite office locations. Knowledge on the management of material fabricators. Knowledge in Field Engineering and Construction activities, and knowledge of Standard Work Process Procedures related to materials management functions. Knowledge of all Engineering disciplines, the work process and the deliverables produced. Knowledge of applicable Bechtel policies, instructions, and Procurement procedures and guidelines. Knowledge and experience in the use of the Digital Supply Chain System, Engineering tools and other project data systems preferred. Prior experience in major global, direct hire and contract management projects, which include Engineering, Procurement, and materials control activities.
