**Job Summary**

**Position Summary:**

CertainTeed Architectural, a division of CertainTeeds award winning construction products group, is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to support the Central Southeast sales region. The Regional Sales Manager will develop and implement sales strategies and tactics in support of CertainTeed Architecturals Strategies and Objectives within the Region. This position will be responsible for increasing the skill sets of the sales team through leadership, training and coaching. The Regional Sales Manager will develop relationships with the key accounts in the Region. They will also partner with the sales management team in developing and implementing the CertainTeed Architectural Sales strategies. The Regional Sales Manager reports to the VP of Sales for CertainTeed Architectural.

**Responsibilities:**

* Lead the sales team in operating in a safe and environmentally conscious manner.

* Provide onboarding support for each sales employee and ensure they trained comprehensively.

* Regularly communicate and measure performance in the region to CertainTeed Architecturals Must-Win-Battles each year.

* Evaluate sales potential in areas and product categories, assess the competition, pricing levels, new product potential, market trends, etc. and liaise with Customer Service, Marketing, Finance and Technical Support.

* Prepare the annual sales and expense plans for the region and the individual sales territories.

* Prepare an Action Plan to exceed the assigned budget:

* Develop overall methods, plans and procedures.

* Manage internal requirements including manpower, travel, training, customer business plans, and call frequency requirements.

* Implement personal internal requirements, including personally calling on large customers, potential large customers, to include architects, contractors, and distributors.

* Develop a working relationship with the key decision-makers in each business.

* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Independent Manufacturers Representatives (IMRs) in the region who represent our Specialties products. Motivate and facilitate the development of similar relationships throughout the sales teams. And, work collaboratively with the IMRs to win as much work for CertainTeed Architectural as possible.

* Implement external requirements including number and location of distributors both exclusive and shared, their goals, our market share goals, product mix, inventory requirements, etc.

* Through discipline use of the CRM program (SFDC) manage the sales team activities to optimize their effectiveness in the field, specifically with regard to their opportunity pipeline and hit rate.

* Settle directly as many of the customer issues as possible.

* Develop and coach the sales team in pursuit of corporate and personal goals.

* Review each sales rep against stated performance goals and assist in development of plan for improvement.

* Conduct quarterly performance reviews the sales team and with key customers.

**Required Qualifications**

* Requires a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration majoring in Marketing or the equivalent training that will provide a working knowledge of the regulations, practices and procedures concerned with outside sales activities. Graduate degree preferred.

* A minimum of 10 years of relevant sales experience.

* Proven record of Management capability.

* Prefer sales experience in a related field.

* Requires integrity, intelligence and initiative.
