LOGIN Dietary Cook Per Diem Jupiter DESCRIPTION **Cook**

* Prepares food for regular and therapeutic diets according to the planned menu

* Prepares food using proper food handling and food safety techniques according to established policies and procedures

* Utilizes standardized recipes in the preparation of foods

* Ensures that the proper quantity of food is prepared

* Makes only authorized substitutions to the planned menu and records the substitution according to established policy

* Maintains proper food temperature of food during preparation and service. Records temperature according to policy

* Ensures that food is prepared in accordance with the time schedules

* Labels, dates and store food properly according to policies

**Qualifications:**

* Must possess a 10th grade education and must be able to read and write English

* Must have minimum 1 year dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility or other related medical facility
