Job Overview:

Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a full-time Resource Navigator to join our Care Management team.

This position is full time, non-exempt and benefits eligible. The pay range for this position is $19.70/hr to $24.60/hr. Compensation is determined based on years of service and departmental equity.

Responsibilities:

The Resource Navigator is an administrative position that assists patients and families with navigating and accessing external resources, support systems, and information by telephone or in person. The Navigator is responsible for providing clerical support, assisting the team with problem-solving and facilitating inpatient and outpatient care. This position proactively addresses potential or actual transportation and lodging needs as identified by the interdisciplinary team. The Resource Navigator identifies the need and coordinates the assistance of a bilingual interpreter, and assists international patients by facilitating Visas, airline letters and supporting documentation.

Qualifications:

Education

High School diploma required

Skills & Experience

Experience in a customer support or administrative role preferred

Knowledge of medical terminology experience preferred

English / Bilingual speaking is preferred
