Welder As a welder, your primary responsibilities will include welding to custom fabricate, working on shell and tube heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and tanks. You will perform MIG flux-core welding on a variety of stainless, carbon, and precious metals using 045 wire, and engage in TIG welding. Additional duties include fitting, code welding, and blueprint reading. Skills: MIG experience Flux core Back gouging TIG experience (preferred) Flux core welding Welding of fabricated heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and tanks Experience in fabricating steel products Perform measurements Experienced in reading blueprints and weld symbol knowledge Knowledgeable with layout and fabrication of product Physical capability for requirements of job, including lifting 50+lbs Job Type & Location: This is a contract to hire position based out of Decatur, IL. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
