As one of the nation's largest single-source providers of lighting and electrical products, electrical services, electrical construction, energy management, and telecom solutions is expanding their staff and seeking an Excavation Operator to join the FSG Telecom team. JOB DESCRIPTION As an Excavation Operator, you will perform excavation of Right of Way areas to enable installation of electrical and fiber conduits for our telecom crews. Respond to scheduled or emergency situations as assigned. An Excavation Operator will: * Operate a backhoe/mini excavator/skid steer/trenching machines in compliance with company operating/safety policies and procedures * Perform proper shoring techniques * Hand dig around existing utilities when necessary * Carry and load material for the project * Inspect and report any equipment repairs needed to Supervisor * Assist in hauling equipment to and from the project site * Clean up and restore work area to original condition. * Backfill according to right of way guidelines, plans, and specs * Properly safe off work to pedestrian/vehicle crossings * Other duties as assigned * Perform physically demanding tasks while conveying knowledge of basic/specialized tools and equipment throughout service job/work order process. * Must understand and conform to Government/Local regulations and ordinances as well as any/all required Safety Guidelines.
