Senior Clinician are leaders in our clinics Qualified candidates are a Licensed Mental Healthcare Provider. POSITION SUMMARY: Oversight of Nurse Practitioners, Nursing Assistants, Licensed Mental Healthcare Providers and Administrative Assistants while managing their own client caseload. This position is responsible for ensuring a high quality of care is being provided to our clients. Education: A minimum of a master’s degree and an active license in mental health counseling or social work in the state the clinic is located in. Experience: Three years of working experience in providing mental health services. Two years of Leadership and or management experience. Employee Benefits: 20 days of paid time off a year, a paid day of volunteering, 9 paid holidays and a floating holiday. Employees can wear jeans to work.Medical, dental, vision, group life, voluntary life, long-term/short-term disability, are offered. Employees and their families are eligible for coverage on the 1st day of the month following 30 days of employment. Eligibility in the 401K begins on the 1st of the month following date of hire. RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops with the Regional Clinic Director/Clinic Director and Admin weekly Clinic Meeting Agenda. Facilitates weekly clinic meetings. Works closely with the Regional Clinic Director to review clinic KPIs and quarterly goals. Audit records as clinically needed under the guidance of the Clinical Director to ensure quality of care is being provided. Auditing will be completed at least annually. Provides clinical case consultation to providers. Works with the Client Experience Manager to ensure Administrative Assistants I and IIs have the appropriate training. Encourage opportunities for team connection and team building. Review, discuss with team members if needed and sign off on incident reports. Establish and review emergency protocols for the site with Administrative Assistants II and Regional Clinic Director/Clinic Director. Review and practice emergency protocols at least on a quarterly basis with their team. Ensures team members are following policies and standard operating procedures. With the help of the Regional Clinic Director will implement corrective action as needed following the Employee Corrective Action Policy. Assists in onboarding new employees by training the new provider in InSync and other CFS computer programs as well as orientating them to the clinic. Works with the Regional Clinic Director to ensure budgets are being met. Assist Regional Clinic Director in completing performance reviews. Interview new candidates. Answers InSync questions as they arise. Understands and lives CFS Core Values. Licensed Mental Healthcare Provider, will also have the following responsibilities: Performs initial intake sessions and makes recommendations about appropriate level of care and treatment options. Utilizes the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders appropriately. Develops a treatment plan, based on client’s strengths, and needs. Assess client for suicide and other self-harm. Provides high quality individual, couple and family therapy sessions by tackling the tough issues. Accurately completes all documentation in the client’s electronic health record following all policies and procedures. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals to meet the needs of the client. Modify treatment activities or approaches as needed to meet the clients’ needs. Refer client or family members to community resources or to specialists as needed. Participates in weekly clinical meetings for team building, administrative information, case consultation and policy/handbook discussions. Learn about new developments in the counseling field by reading professional literature, attending courses, workshops, and trainings. Upholds client confidentiality. Seeks out supervision and case consultation as needed. Maintain professional liability coverage throughout employment. Maintains detailed temp license documentation per state requirements. Adheres to all Licensure requirements and code of ethics. Participate in networking efforts and community engagement. Meets the Mandatory Reporter training requirements for the state the clinic is located in. Dedication to promoting and upholding the organizations’ purpose, promises and values. Other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DIRECT REPORTS: Licensed Mental Healthcare Providers, a Nurse Practitioner, and Administrative Assistant in the Iowa City Clinic. REQUIREMENTS: Competencies/Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities): Accept and utilize Covenant Family Solutions’ mission as a guideline for delivering services. Proficiency in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. Ability to work independently and efficiently with attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to make effective decisions and solve problems. Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and privacy. Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships – develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time. When communicating with people outside the company, represent the company well to potential clients, referral sources, the public, and other external sources. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound clinical judgments in complex and challenging situations. Commitment to continuing professional development, and a willingness to keep up to date with the latest developments in Behavioral Health research and practice. Knowledge of relevant federal and state regulations and adherence to relevant legal and ethical guidelines in psychiatric care.
