About the Job
The Presales Engineer is integrated in the engineering department and reporting to the director of engineering. The Presales Engineer will be primarily in charge of the design and cost estimation of trackers for PV projects. Training will be provided with our tracker team to develop expertise on the TrinaTracker. The Presales Engineer is responsible for all aspects of pre-sales engineering for projects in bidding stage. The Pre-Sales Engineer collaborates with Sales team giving technical support to sales and clients.
What you’ll be doing:
Review RFPs to understand the scope of a project and available documentation.
Develop preliminary design documents (layout, single line diagram, PVSyst) to support RFP response.
Preliminary analysis and interpretation of Geotechnical Reports.
Design and calculation of solar trackers and fixed steel structures for PV plants
Preliminary Design of foundation. Micropiles, Screw piles, driven piles, footings
Slope analysis and earthworks estimation
Quantity surveying
Project cost estimation
PVsyst analysis and product presentation to customers
Your qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
Experience designing solar PV systems is required, tracker experience is a bonus.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and PVSyst.
Knowledge about geotechnical reports
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to multi-task and work concurrently on multiple projects
