As a Process Engineer at Saras Micro, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing thin film deposition and patterning processes for high volume manufacturing.

Your duties will include conducting material characterization, designing experiments, and executing tests to enhance manufacturing efficiency and quality. You'll collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to define equipment requirements and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Additionally, you'll play a key role in troubleshooting process issues and implementing solutions, while also managing process documentation and providing valuable engineering expertise. Overall, your focus will be on driving continuous improvement and innovation in our manufacturing processes.

The successful candidates will design and implement systems and equipment procedures in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. They will be responsible for testing and monitoring equipment, updating current system processes and conducting risk assessments in collaboration with other team members.

Essential Job Duties

  • Develop thin film deposition and patterning processes
  • Conduct material characterization and process optimization
  • Design experiments and execute test plans
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams on equipment requirements
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
  • Troubleshoot process issues and implement solutions
  • Manage process documentation and operating instructions
  • Provide engineering expertise and support continuous improvement efforts

Key Competencies: (3+ years of experience)

  • Prior experience in deposition techniques and methods (Sputtering, PVD, CVD, ALD etc)
  • Material and film characterization techniques (SEM, TEM, SIMs etc)
  • Experience in Dielectrics including high-k materials.
  • Proven work experience as a process engineer in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process related indicators, i.e., SPC, KPI, CPK, etc.
  • Working knowledge of process engineering software packages
  • Analytical thinker
  • Strong collaboration/interpersonal skills
  • Deposition equipment design and knowledge of design tradeoffs.
  • Equipment Troubleshooting and Preventative Maintenance.

Education (Preferred)

  • BS in an engineering field or relative work experience
  • Masters degree in relevant degree field is a +

Equipment & Software

  • Experience using Statistical Analysis Tools (JMP, Minitab etc.) and scripts development.
  • CAD or AutoCAD
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
