A week in the life of a Fighter SMEincludes: + All aspects of A/A fighter mission planning and execution of all A/A aspects of ECC operations. + Oversee all A/A centric LVC-OT missions that the DTOC produces. + Participate as Event Controller for multiple LVC-OT event types while maintaining focus on A/A events to include: + Conduct mission briefing, execution and debriefing, and post mission documentation + Provide A/A expertise in support of DTOC mission planning cell to include: + Create scenarios within Environment Generator software + Coordinate with NOC personnel for ECC set-up + Troubleshoot operations related software and hardware issues + Provide academic briefings as coordinated with Training Manager + Support meetings as DTOC A/A Fighter SME. + Advise DTOC Leadership on LVC-OT events and A/A operations related issues. Job Requirements + Bachelor's Degree and 8-10 years of experience; a combination of education and experience can be used in lieu of degree + Secret Clearance + Minimum three (3) years’ experience conducting training in a DMO environment + Current or previous Weapons School or Top Gun Graduate, air-to-air instructor pilot and minimum five (5) years operational air-to-air experience + Current or previous fighter aircraft pilot or weapons system operator with robust air-to-air background + Must be currently or previously qualified in USAF, USN, or USMC fighter aircraft. + Must be knowledgeable in 5thGen fighter employment to incorporate into daily customer mission catalogs and part of SME academics program Founded in 1975, AMERICAN SYSTEMS is one of the largest employee-owned companies in the United States.
