Automotive Receptionist

A family-owned Chevrolet dealership in Northern Virginia operating for over 68 years seeks a full-time, friendly, personable, and organized Automotive Receptionist/Cashier to join our team As the first person of contact for our customers, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service, managing cash transactions, and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers entering the dealership, providing a welcoming atmosphere.
- Answer phones and promptly direct customers to the proper department, striving to minimize the time customers spend on hold.
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone or in person.
- Process cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately and efficiently using a point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Issue receipts, refunds, credits, and accurate cash due to customers.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
- Schedule appointments and manage booking calendars.
- Assist with general administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and office management supplies.
- Provide basic information regarding services, pricing, and company policies.
- Address and resolve customer complaints professionally.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18 or older and authorized to work in the United States.
- Punctual nature and ability to handle schedule flexibility.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in handling financial transactions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with POS systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude and professional appearance.
- Previous experience in a cashier, receptionist, or customer service role is preferred but not required.
- Experience with the automotive industry is preferred but not required.
- Bilingual is a plus but is not required.
