Individuals must have experience in
- Providing assistance with personal hygiene for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents.
- Provides client with reminders to take prescribed medication.
- Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks etc.) Assist with planning and preparing meals and help with physical therapy exercises
- Complete client's shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
- Transfers of patients to commode or toilet, bed to mobility assistance equipment
- Perform light housekeeping duties and report any unusual incidents
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
- Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary
- Records and reports activities related to personal care responsibilities, as required.
- Responds promptly to client requests
- Documents all client related activities in a timely manner.
- Participates in performance improvement in services.
- Reacts to change productively and performs other job-related tasks and duties as assigned.
- Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation every single day - must have Bodily Injury Liability coverage in auto insurance policy.
- Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
- Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends (Flexibility with 4 hour shifts preferred)
- Prior experience in a healthcare, hospital, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
- High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver, CNA License and 24 hours current CEU's
- Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)
