We are working with our client out of the IT consulting industry looking for a senior accountant.

Job Overview

  1. Prepare and submit monthly CLIN based client invoices for all projects, ensuring invoices are billed accurately and consistently within award requirements and on a timely basis.
  2. Prepare monthly burn summaries.
  3. Follows up on past due invoices and client approvals.
  4. Process project related vendor invoices accurately and within assigned timeline.
  5. Maintain the subcontractor timekeeping system.
  6. Assists with project set up in compliance with contractual terms, conditions and requirements.
  7. Monitors project spending and alerts management to possible over or under-runs.
  8. Monitor costs and manpower on a periodic basis ensuring that actuals are within budget and charged to the correct job number.
  9. Prepare/Support Internal Program Review (IPR) presentations for management.
  10. Support the preparation of financial Contract Data Requirements (CDRL) for programs. Ensure contractual requirements are met and customer financial deliverables are accurate and on time.
  11. Assist in various financial aspects of sub-contracts and vendors.
  12. Communicate and correspond directly with clients with respect to invoicing, receivables and project reporting.
  13. Monitors & reports unbilled issues to the Accounting Manager.
  14. Assists in the preparation of subcontractor TO Allocations /Cost and vendor accruals as services/goods are received in accordance with company and internal policies to ensure that the project's cost/commitment is accurately captured and reported internally and externally
  15. Perform various ad-hoc analyses as required in order to provide insight into financial performance.
  16. Ensure proactive maintenance of contracts documentation consistent with established company practices.
  17. Assist with the project closeout process.
  18. Assist with the preparation of contract briefs.
  19. Verbal and written communications must be timely and of consistently high quality in content, style and clarity.

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in billing and accounting operations for government contracts.

  • Core Work Hours: 9am-4pm (flexible)
  • Pay Rate: $35/hour-$43/hour
  • $90k on conversion
  • Start Date: 5/6
