Job Description

The Offsite Referral and Pre-Certification Specialist is responsible for completing all referrals and pre-certification requirements according to established protocols.

Responsibilities

1.Obtains referral and/or precerts for patients for internal and external appointments and/or orders.

2.Communicate information pertaining to referrals and/or precerts to patients, external medical offices, and internal staff as per established protocol.

3.Performs other related duties.

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • No experience is required, 1 to 3 years of experience is preferred as follows:
1. Experience in processing prior-authorizations and referrals is preferred.

2. Understands requirements for Internal WMG referrals as well as Outgoing Referrals.

3. Understands the concept of PCP and referrals protocols as defined by Insurance Carriers.
