Overview:

The Registration Specialist works under the supervision of the Coordinator, Manager, and/or Director, and is responsible for obtaining complete and accurate demographic and reimbursement information during registration as well as accurate and timely input of all information. Greets and registers all patients, obtaining signatures on all required forms, and educating the patient regarding the form content. Complies with all Federal and third-party billing requirements, HIPAA, ABN screening, collection of copays/deposits when applicable, and the accurate processing of the patient's paperwork. Performs file room duties and assists physician and other staff members.

Qualifications:

  • Required Education: High School diploma, GED or higher education
  • Certifications: BLS to be acquired within probationary period (First 90 Days)
  • Other: Excellent interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills. Must be able to operate various types of office equipment, including a computer, fax machine, telephone, printer and copy machine
