Provide an exceptional level of customer service by possessing an in-depth knowledge of assigned Insurance Operations products and services in order to support Underwriting with the fundamental application of product guidelines. This includes Flood, Excess Flood, Private Flood, and ALE. Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills by working with agents, policyholders, Underwriting, and Marketing to resolve issues. Requirements must be met while maintaining quality, productivity, and time service standards.
Essential Functions
- Respond to incoming questions, or concerns on both phone and chat by exhibiting a clear understanding of the flood program and other products. Demonstrate a clear understanding of the flood changes and flood system.
- Actively apply underwriting guidelines to processing Cash Reports, FEMA reports workflow and other processing functions. Maintain expert knowledge of multiple underwriting guidelines, processing procedures, and systems for assigned products and services. Troubleshoot problems and identify differences between similar items, while utilizing product and system knowledge in making logical, quality decisions to ensure accuracy and efficient flow through the processing system. Process workflow daily simultaneously with phone and chat calls. This includes reviewing and validating incoming receipts from agents such as issuance of new business, renewals, endorsements, and other policy changes. Use critical thinking to accurately review and validate all flood changes.
- Continually work with other departments to find processing enhancements.
- Maintain professional relationships internally and externally by being a good listener and stimulating enthusiasm in others while overcoming objections diplomatically. Possess the ability to effectively express oneself verbally and in writing using a patient and professional demeanor
- HS/GED
- 1-2 years of clerical support/customer service.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Outlook experience is also necessary. Data entry 1200 kpm
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor's in Administration or a similar field. Salesforce and AS400 experience. Bilingual is a plus.
