Job Description & Responsibilities:

Were looking for an IT Support Engineer to provide technical assistance to our staff. In this role you will oversee IT systems and assets; assist with upgrades and fixes; provide training and support as needed; and collect, organize, and manage evidence required for customer audits and regulatory requirements such as PCI and SOC II.

You will have extensive knowledge of computer hardware and software, networks, and industry trends. In your role you will be:

  • Serve as the subject-matter expert supporting Mac OS X, Windows, and widely used software and applications such as Google Workspace, Jamf, JumpCloud, and Intune
  • Maintaining essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware
  • Install, configure, maintain, and support computer software, hardware, printers, routers, and cameras
  • Implement applications and software upgrades and troubleshoot any performance issues
  • Resolving logged errors in a timely manner
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software
  • Set up and manage user accounts and permissions
  • Provide first-level support to all staff for IT-related issues including hardware malfunctions, software problems, access requests, password-related issues, and network interruptions
  • Document and escalate issues to higher-level support or management as required
  • Record, track, and document the problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken through to final resolution.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for IT infrastructure changes and upgrades
  • Collect, organize, and manage evidence required for customer audits and regulatory requirements such as PCI and SOC II
  • Conduct regular security checks and coordinate with the compliance team to ensure all systems meet the required standards

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as an IT Technician or similar role with a strong focus on compliance and documentation
  • Solid understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products
  • Scripting (or programming) with languages such as Bash or Python
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to document and explain technical details clearly
  • Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional
  • Experience with AWS technologies such IAM, Identity Center, AWS policies and permissions
  • Experience with compliance frameworks such as PCI and SOC II is highly desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Keen attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when necessary
