Tax Specialist

Contract: Riverside, Rhode Island, US

Salary: $38.00 Per Hour

Responsbilities:
  • A tax accountant's day involves reviewing financial documents, analyzing tax laws, and communicating with clients.
  • They identify tax deductions and credits, prepare tax returns, and stay updated on tax regulations.
  • They may also consult with other professionals to develop complex tax strategies.
Must Have:
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
    • Proficiency in tax software and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, TurboTax, TaxSlayer)
    • Ability to analyze complex financial information and identify tax implications
    • Knowledge of tax planning strategies and techniques
  • Interpersonal Skills:
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Strong client relationship-building and management skills
    • Ability to explain complex tax concepts in clear and understandable terms
    • Effective time management and organizational skills
    • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Sales and Business Development Skills:
    • Ability to identify and cultivate potential clients
    • Effective sales and marketing techniques
    • Understanding of business needs and how tax services can add value
