The Marketing Manager leverages their strategic insights and industry awareness to position the company favorably amidst competition. By overseeing the development and implementation of tailored strategies focused on marketing initiatives, the Marketing Manager drives growth for Johnny's Markets. This role involves not only managing community events to boost brand engagement but also orchestrating and supervising comprehensive marketing campaigns across various channels such as SEO, email, social media, mobile, and print. What you'll do: Provides day-to-day leadership. Mentors and coaches direct report(s) to improve individual and team performance. Keeps informed and updated on industry trends and competitor strategies to favorably position the Company in the competitive marketplace. Organizes, attends, and promotes various community events. Plans and implements a mobile and loyalty specific strategy to drive Johnny’s growth. Develops loyalty strategies based on a test-and-learn approach, analysis of current performance, and best practices from the marketplace. Plans and produces all marketing efforts for all Johnny’s Markets in coordination with the Buyer, including SEO, email, social media, and print campaigns. Participates in the budgeting process. Supervision Received: General Direction: Plans and arranges own work. Uses a wide range of procedures to accomplish assigned objectives. Supervisory Responsibilities: Advanced supervision: Determines work assignments, priorities, and procedures for subordinates. Responsible for assigning, scheduling, and ensuring the quality and quantity of work. Approves time off and schedule adjustments. Provides training and coaching. What you'll need: Bachelor's degree specializing in marketing or business or equivalent work experience. Strong overall knowledge of convenience store retailing. Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish assigned work for self and team. Ability to pay close attention to detail. Ability to use problem solving skills and root cause analysis. Good decision-making skills. Ability to establish constructive and cooperative interpersonal business relationships with individuals working at varying levels of the organization. SEO, content management skills, social media skills, WordPress, and Adobe suite. Bonus: WooCommerce knowledge and/or PDI Enterprise knowledge. Oral Communication: Ability to actively engage in conversations to communicate with economy and clarity, clearly understand the message and intent, and receive and process feedback. Creativeness: Ability to think in ways that produce something new or which lead to novel ideas. Drive: Demonstrated passion for performance and a desire for continuous improvement. Vendor Relation: Ability to identify partnership needs and explore opportunities to formulate sound action plans. Reliability: Ability to be dependable, trustworthy, and committed to doing the best job possible. Oral Communication: Ability to actively engage in conversations to communicate with economy and clarity, clearly understand the message and intent, and receive and process feedback.
