Position Overview:

As the Supply Chain Manager at SISCORP Structures, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the purchasing and logistics functions of our business. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless coordination of procurement activities, optimizing interdepartmental coordination, and streamlining the logistics processes to support the efficient and timely delivery of materials for our metal building projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Management: Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials required for metal building projects. Source suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and pricing while maintaining quality standards. Review and analyze detailed engineering drawings and interpret the Bill of Materials (BOM) to accurately determine material requirements for each project. Collaborate with engineering and design teams to identify alternative materials and suppliers that offer cost savings without compromising quality. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliability of supply and address any issues or concerns promptly. Logistics Coordination: Oversee the transportation and distribution of materials to various project sites, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project schedules. Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and logistics partners to optimize transportation routes and minimize shipping costs. Track and monitor shipments, proactively addressing any delays or issues to minimize disruptions to project timelines. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline logistics processes and enhance overall supply chain efficiency. Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a team of purchasing and logistics professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals and objectives. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the supply chain team. Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for skills development and training to enhance team capabilities.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in supply chain management, procurement, and logistics within the construction or manufacturing industry, preferably in the pre-engineered metal building sector. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM). Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills. Proficiency in various software and ERP systems. Solid understanding of transportation and logistics principles. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate across departments. Results-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
