This candidate will be responsible for Quality Engineering within a fabrication and assembly manufacturing environment, with direct customer coordination. Leadership position to drive production quality and validation of manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provides quality engineering support within manufacturing environment. Welding processes to support new customer projects.
  • Provides direct communication with customers to address product quality escapes, score-card improvement actions, product/equipment qualification actions.
  • Participates in Quality System maintenance activities, such as CAPA, Internal/External Audits, Complaints, and other activities as needed.
  • Leads quality improvement actions internally to achieve customer targets and expectations.
  • Participates within the product development engineering processes, including validation activities, SPC & data analysis, control plans, report writing, and PFMEAs as needed.
  • Verification and Failure Analysis of returned product, with required corrective action.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years experience in supporting manufacturing, producing industrial products, with some exposure to a welding environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing direct customer support for organizational quality.
