The community youll be caring for: AdventHealth Riverview

AdventHealth is expanding our medical expertise, innovation, and state-of-the-art technology to southern Hillsborough County through a brand-new hospital in Riverview, which is scheduled to open in 2024.

The new AdventHealth Riverview hospital will include 82 beds at time of opening with space to expand to 202 beds in the future.

This $250 million project in Riverview also includes a 100,000 square foot, four-story Medical Office Building that will provide community members convenient access to expert care.

AdventHealth Riverview will offer a wide range of health care services which includes emergency, cardiovascular, digestive, urology, orthopedic and womens care.

The role youll contribute:

To develop, implement, and oversee operational pharmacy services. To work with other pharmacy managers to assure quality pharmacy services. To coordinate daily pharmacist and pharmacy technician activities in the main pharmacy.

The value youll bring to the team:

Interprets, evaluates, and monitors patient medication orders in a timely manner using the patient medical record and or pharmacy profile.

Dispenses medication in an accurate and timely manner following hospital formulary guidelines.

Demonstrates high tech skill level utilizing a variety of pharmaceutical competencies including, but not limited to calculations, aseptic technique, cytotoxic drug properties, and vancomycin / aminoglycosides.

Participates in Code-Blue and other emergency situations to ensure adequate drug supply and appropriate drug use. Works with pharmacy technicians to ensure adequate drug supply in automated dispensing stations.

Works with hospice and other outpatient services to ensure adequate drug supply and appropriate drug use.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed :

_ B.S. in pharmacy or Pharm D degree; Registered in State working in_

_ Attains professional growth by attending or participating in at least 15 hours of continuing education programs annually._

_ Two years as a licensed pharmacist_

_ Leadership skills/experience IV Additive preparation (inpatient)_

_ Unit Dose dispensing (inpatient)_

__ RPh license
