WORK SCHEDULE Per Diem (On Call) Day Shift Weekends ONLY POSITION HIGHLIGHTS Conveniently located near public transportation Make a difference for the patients and employees we serve Opportunity to provide career growth DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The Rehabilitation Medicine Clinic at Harborview Medical Center offers comprehensive care for adults recovering from spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, stroke, amputations and COVID-19. We offer follow-up care for UW Medicine patients discharged from our acute care and rehabilitation unit. We also offer post-COVID rehabilitation and recovery care for patients who have recovered from an active infection of COVID-19 but continue to have lingering symptoms. Patients are the center of our multidisciplinary team. Care team members include doctors who specialize in rehabilitation medicine (physiatrists), rehabilitation nurses, physical, occupational and speech therapists, patient care coordinators, therapeutic recreation specialists, vocational rehabilitation counselors, rehabilitation psychologists and social workers. Together we work to achieve your goals and optimize your recovery. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide staff, providers, and patients with an efficient system of internal and external communications, including phone answering and call triaging Schedule provider and ancillary service appointments Obtain patient demographic, financial, and clinical information Partner with all members of the clinic team to prioritize patient satisfaction and exceptional care delivery REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS High school graduation or equivalent AND One year of healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience OR An equivalent combination of education/experience ABOUT HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER As the region's only Level I Trauma and verified burn center, Harborview Medical Center is a comprehensive healthcare facility owned by King County and operated by UW Medicine.
