PREP COOK

Major Responsibilities:
- Following Clear Direction: It is important for a prep cook to carefully follow instructions and guidelines provided by the head chef regarding food preparation techniques, portion sizes, and storing requirements.
- Food Preparation: The prep cook is responsible for tasks such as cutting, chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients, as well as measuring and mixing ingredients according to recipes or specific instructions.
- Ensuring Readiness of Food: The prep cook must ensure that all ingredients and food items are prepared and ready for meal preparations, including proper storage and organization of prepared ingredients.
Essential Physical Requirements:
- Manual Dexterity: A prep cook should have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to handle knives, peelers, and other kitchen tools effectively while cutting, chopping, and preparing food.
- Endurance: The role often requires standing for long hours, as well as enduring hot or cold work conditions in the kitchen environment.
