Responsibilities

Reports, analyzes, forecasts, and interprets financial operating data; may include profit/loss analysis, cost analysis, market niche reporting, regional performance assessments, customer proposals, rate of return, depreciation, and any other ad-hoc analysis of interest to management
Participates in the preparation and compilation of the annual financial plan which may include functional area specific modeling, time-series analysis, and graphic presentation of both operating and financial data
Prepares complex financial analysis reports in a timely and accurate manner
Interprets and applies policies and procedures to new situations
Advises on and recommends to management desirable operational adjustments and interprets budget to actual variance
May perform ROI analysis investments and develop operating metrics
Reviews performance to plan and conduct prior year's variance analysis
Reviews business unit financial statements and policies to ensure compliance with corporate policies and guidelines
Assists other Finance and organizational areas with financial matters as required and may serve as a mentor and evaluator of more junior team members

Qualifications

Bachelors degree or equivalent
Minimum 5 years related experience
Advanced PC skills including Windows and the Microsoft Office Suite
Advanced understanding of financial analysis and accounting policies, procedures and programs (ex: general ledger systems, SAP)
Solid communication and interpersonal skills
Advanced skills in the development of financial ratios and comparative analysis
Thorough understanding of general accounting principles
Demonstrated ability to with mentoring of more junior team members
