SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE

The Vice President of Clinical Operations is responsible for managing all operational aspects of a non-profit, faith-based community health center to ensure quality patient care. Responsible and accountable for practice culture and engagement, management and staff development, recruiting and retention of management, staff and physicians, and financial performance. Collaborates with peers and also with a multidisciplinary team to ensure practices are functioning optimally and are in compliance with all regulatory bodies. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background in addition to healthcare administration, strategic planning, and a proven track record of fostering collaboration to enhance patient outcomes. This position reports to the CEO. Relocation assistance is not provided.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the operations of several departments, including Medical Department Support Staff, Dental Department Support Staff, Quality and Risk Team in a Federally Qualified Health Center Environment, Front Office Team, Pharmacy Support Staff, Facilities Operational and Expansion Activities (including contractors), and Clinical Electronic Medical Records Systems.

Must have experience in clinical setting with overall medical oversight background.

Foster collaboration among all departments, staff leadership, and other services to support continuous improvements in patient outcomes across various lines of service including Medical, Dental, Pharmacy, Behavioral Health, and Vision Services.

Manage workforce decisions and resource allocation for the organization, ensuring optimal staffing levels and efficiency in operations.

Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the quality of care, manage expenses/revenues, and achieve organizational objectives.

Support departments in maintaining regulatory compliance under standards set by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, ensuring adherence to all healthcare regulations and guidelines.

Analyze budgets and financial reports to make informed decisions and recommendations for optimizing financial performance.

QUALIFICATIONS

MBA or relevant advanced degree for overseeing day to day operations.

Clinical background such as RN or higher in a Federally Qualified Health Center.

Experience in Patient Centered Medical Home.

Proven experience in healthcare administration and operations management.

Strong relationship building, leadership and collaboration skills

Strategic thinking and planning expertise

Knowledge of clinical electronic medical records systems

(Epic/Dentrix/Pioneer/Internal
