Boston, United States Workday Full time

Your work days are brighter here.

At Workday, it all began with a conversation over breakfast. When our founders met at a sunny California diner, they came up with an idea to revolutionize the enterprise software market. And when we began to rise, one thing that really set us apart was our culture. A culture which was driven by our value of putting our people first. And ever since, the happiness, development, and contribution of every Workmate is central to who we are. Our Workmates believe a healthy employee-centric, collaborative culture is the essential mix of ingredients for success in business. That’s why we look after our people, communities and the planet while still being profitable. Feel encouraged to shine, however that manifests: you don’t need to hide who you are. You can feel the energy and the passion, it's what makes us unique. Inspired to make a brighter work day for all and transform with us to the next stage of our growth journey? Bring your brightest version of you and have a brighter work day here.

About The Team

Special Note: LinkedIn and other job boards' estimated pay range does NOT represent the pay range of Workday. Please contact a Workday Talent Acquisition team member to discuss the role and compensation.

We're the team that drives the product and strategy for Workday’s secret sauce - our technology platform that was designed from scratch for the cloud. We own the complete stack and tools that delivers and supports Workday products across private and public clouds (e.g. on-premise, AWS, GCP, Azure). We enable Workday's scale: ~50% of Fortune 500 companies, 10,000+ customers, 60MM+ Workers, ~365B Transactions.

About The Role

Are you a hardworking, creative and driven team member who can support us in our mission to gracefully support our Data Platform and Observability teams?

If yes, We would love to hear from you If you like trying new techniques and approaches to sophisticated problems, love to learn new technologies, are a natural collaborator and an excellent teammate who brings out the best in everyone around you, then give us a shout

You are an experienced Product Manager with a track record for successfully getting technical sought-after products to market. You are excited by the challenge to design and build systems for scale.

We are growing at a fast pace and are looking for a Principle Product Manager of our data platform which provides critical data processing, storage, query and visualisation capabilities. You will work to identify, specify, and prioritize features through direct partnership with customers, partners, developers and your knowledge of the domain. You will help define the roadmap and focus areas of investment to maximize outcomes. Working closely with engineering leaders, you will execute and deliver on the product roadmap. You have the ability to understand and make decisions in a high stakes environment. Above all, you will serve as the voice of the customer for our products.

About You

5+ years of Product Management experience, preferably in PaaS, SaaS, B2B, or high scale products. 10 + years' total experience in a technical role to include software engineering or Technical Product Management Detailed experience with data platform technologies - messaging & caching services, data collection, processing & storage, data analytics and data governance - ex. Kafka, Redis, RabbitMQ Experience with scrum and other agile development methods is a requirement. Proven track record managing the entire product lifecycle: defining business problems, researching customer needs, prototyping and testing new solutions, working with design and engineering teams, and prioritizing an Agile development backlog.

Other Qualifications

An inherently collaborative style that enables you to win the hearts and minds of your peers to successfully implement a complex product roadmap, with execution often happening across teams. Excellent communications and influencing skills across all levels of a large organization, as well as with external partners and stakeholders. Our Approach to Flexible Work

With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.

Pursuant to applicable Fair Chance law, Workday will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.

Workday is an Equal Opportunity Employer including individuals with disabilities and protected veterans.

Are you being referred to one of our roles? If so, ask your connection at Workday about our Employee Referral process
