We recommend you read this statement before applying for any position.Essential Duties:Spiritual Formation: Intentionally provide opportunities for staff to grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus.Participate in opportunities for growing deeper in your relationship with JesusWith direction from supervisor, develop an annual personal spiritual growth plan.Facilitate devotionals with summer interns and other camp staff.Interpersonal Relationships: Help build relationships that reflect the character of God with guests, staff, vendors and neighbors to foster healthy community. During the summer season, they will lead the Guest Services operation at one of our two camps by ownership, execution and directing the team in all department responsibilities, and leading in spiritual formation for interns, summer staff, seasonal staff at their assigned camp. We see this role as a training opportunity to prepare someone with the skills and experience to become a Guest Services Manager. Throughout the school season (Oct-April), they will partner with the GSM in setting the tone for department culture, training & leading interns, overseeing specialties of their own and supporting the team in their own responsibilities.They are able to lead others with spiritual maturity, emotional intelligence and engaging a culture of hospitality, while also being a bridge-builder to partner with other departments to improve the overall guest experience.Qualifications and Experience Required For The Job:•Demonstrate understanding of Young Life ministry, strategy and mission•Spiritual maturity•Experience training and leading teams•Self-starter who takes initiative and teaches others to do the same.•Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.•Ability to manage time of self and others.•Able to communicate a sense of warmth, hospitality and concern for guests, vendors and staffJob Specific Working Conditions:Washington Family Ranch is a very remote property (located one hour from the closest grocery store) with a large dedicated staff that results in approximately 120 people living year round at camp. This creates a unique and spiritually rewarding environment of Christian work and fellowship. There are two camps located here: a high school focused camp (Canyon) and a middle school camp (Creekside). Affordable housing is available on property.Notes:Young Life is a relational ministry. Staff must be able to convey a sense of Christ-like hospitality and concern for guests and staff. Responding to the unexpected needs of a guest in a prompt and professional manner is important. All staff members are expected to represent Young Life positively and professionally within the community and be able to work with and minister to the volunteer high school and college-age young people who attend our camp.
