Genesis Health Clubs’ Accounting Team is looking for a forward-thinking and dynamic professional to work in a fast-paced corporate accounting office. This full-time senior accountant role will be responsible for cash management, monthly G/L entries and reconciliations, as well as P&L vs. Budget analysis.

Successful candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, 2-5 years of previous G/L experience, proficiency in Excel, excellent communication, organization skills, and ability to multi-task. Candidates must also function with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Managing all monthly, quarterly, and yearly accounting operations for multiple entities Preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, financial reports, budget, and forecasts Assisting with cash flow management, analyzing trends, costs, revenues, and financial commitments Conducting month-end and year-end close processes Reconciling bank accounts and summarizing financial information Researching and analyzing accounting data, developing specialized reports Auditing financial transactions, documenting accounting control procedures Keeping information confidential, up-to-date with financial policies, regulations, and legislation Maintaining accounting filing system, chart of accounts, and controls Reviewing and preparing financial statement analysis and reports Processing monthly closings, analyzing budget variance, reconciling balance sheet Coordinating cash flow reports, preparing management cost reports Managing time effectively, meeting deadlines, reviewing accounting systems Preferred Experience and Knowledge Base

Computing and paying retail sales tax Preparation of tax returns Payroll taxes
