SMT Operator Details:

  • Temp-to-Hire position
  • $20.00 to $22.00 /hour
  • Full Time work available
  • Second Shift (Monday through Thursday from 03:30pm to 02:00am)
  • Adhere to all ESD requirements and Board Handling.
  • Use of Moisture Sensitive Device (MSD) handling requirements.
  • Utilize process sheets to ensure correct build of product.
  • Load feeders for surface mount machines using the load list provided by machine.
  • Verify correct part numbers being used for the specific job being run.
  • Select the proper stencil screen 
  • Perform machine preventive maintenance on-screen printer and pick and place machines based on assigned schedules.
  • Operate stencil cleaning machine.
  • Clean boards as required based on soldering chemistry.
  • Support and follow all ISO standards related to companies various Quality Management Systems.
  • Responsible for the set-up of all pieces of equipment on the SMT one, including screen printer, SMT stencils and foils, soldering equipment, ‘pick and place’ machines, and the reflow oven.
  • Use setup process sheets to ensure the correct build of the product
  • Load feeders for surface mount machines using the load list provided by the machine
  • Verify correct part numbers being used for the specific job being run
  • Initiate and select the correct programs for SMT equipment

SMT Operator Qualifications:

  • Ability to utilize electronic manufacturing system.
  • Pass IPC-DVE-64C Component Identification.
  • Pass IPC-A-610 Modules: 1, 2, 4, 7 & 8.
  • Microsoft Office/computer skills.
  • Requires good eyesight, hand and finger dexterity, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks. 
  • Ability to work in a team or autonomously
  • Applicant may be subject to a background check
  • Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
