RF Lead Responsibilities

* Utilize experience in consumer electronics (CE) development and wireless technology along with a passion for exploration and experimentation to develop new wireless systems for Augmented Reality (AR).

Work closely with product design, electrical and firmware engineers on advancing the state of AR through research and development, prototyping, and implementation in shipping products.

Own RF system design from initial definition through production.

Responsible for RF system implementation throughout the product design cycle.

Responsible for part selection, prototyping, factory bring up and lab bench debug and root cause.

Work with internal cross-functional team and external JDM/CM to successfully bring wireless product to market.

Perform multi-radio coexistence mitigation (including RF link budget planning and issue debugging).

Optimize RF conducted and OTA performance by simulation and lab validation.

Characterize and debug desense issues to meet requirements.

Work with antenna and test engineers to ensure the quality of the overall system.

Support EMI/EMC trouble shooting and validation.

Minimum Qualifications

* Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, followed by five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in the job offered or in an engineering-related occupation. Position requires five years of experience in the following:

1. LTE development background

2. WiFi, BT, GPS or cellular RF implementation

3. RF front-end and SoC Schematic, Layout Capture and Board Bring Up

4. Work experience with RF lab equipment for device characterization and component/system performance validation

5. Experience with RF circuit and EM simulation software

6. RF/wireless system architecture or WiFi/BT/Cellular protocol

7. Schematic Capture and PCB Layout using Cadence Tool

8. Regulatory requirements (FCC and CE)

9. Technical project management skills including design KPI setup, test plan definition, equipment budgeting and purchase, and schedule planning.

$267,945/year to $276,870/year + bonus + equity + benefits
