Insight Global is seeking an Art Therapist to provide therapeutic art services to students from ranging from elementary through high school. The therapist will work closely with teachers, counselors, and parents to support students’ emotional and psychological needs. Key Responsibilities: Therapeutic Sessions: Conduct individual and group art therapy sessions tailored to the needs of students. Assessment and Evaluation: Assess students’ needs and progress through various art therapy techniques and tools. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teachers, school counselors, and parents to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support and intervention in crisis situations. Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and treatment plans. Workshops and Training: Conduct workshops for staff and parents on the benefits of art therapy and how to support students’ emotional well-being. Program Development: Develop and implement art therapy programs that align with the school’s overall mental health strategy. Advocacy: Advocate for the inclusion of art therapy in the school’s mental health services and promote awareness of its benefits. Requirements: Education: Master’s degree in Art Therapy, Counseling, or a related field. Licensure/Certification: Licensed Clinical Professional Art Therapist (LCPAT) or Licensed Graduate Professional Art Therapist (LGPAT). Previous experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting is preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency in various art therapy techniques.
