**Job Overview**:

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Buyer who will be responsible for processing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, tracking orders, creating and maintaining inventory, and quality assurance.

**Roles and Responsibilities:**

* Carries out activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and services to ensure terms are in the organizations best interest.

* Sources vendors to best fit requirements.

* Assists accounting with vendor payment term set up.

* Prepares purchase orders and negotiates prices to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly, under general guidance.

* Set up Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA).

* Review cost proposals and pricing information.

* Evaluates vendor proposals to ensure that all requirements are met.

* Evaluates competence of vendors performance and quality of product(s).

* Work with staff across the company to forecast the needs of the business and make purchase decisions based on demand.

* Performs other related duties as assigned.

* Track orders to ensure timely delivery, update management.

* Build relationships with suppliers.

**Required Qualifications:**

* 2-5 years of relevant experience.

* Extensive knowledge of contract principles and procedures.

* Analytically minded and possess excellent negotiating skills to secure the best prices according to budget.

* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

* Excellent administrative skills.

* Excellent written and communication skills.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

* Work hours Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm PST.

**Desired Qualifications:**

* Prior experience in purchasing a broad range of materials such as custom mechanical parts, raw materials, electrical and hardware components, and outside processing.

* Experience working in Aerospace and AS9100 environment.

* Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.

* Knowledge of sales and marketing principles.
