Job Title: Cardiovascular Technologist Profession: Allied Cath Lab Tech Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Primarily Days with some late night and on-call requirements Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 2 years of Cath Lab Tech experience License: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certifications: BLS, ACLS, COVID vaccine card Must-Have: - 2 years of Cath Lab Tech experience - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) - COVID vaccine card showing fully completed COVID series - BLS (AHA) - ACLS Description: The Cardiovascular Technologist will prepare the procedure room and sterile field for surgical procedures. They will set up sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment. They must be able to anticipate equipment required during procedures and operate the equipment. Maintaining sterile instruments is a key responsibility. The Cardiovascular Technologist will function in multiple roles on the procedure team including scrub, circulator, and documenter/monitor. Good organizational skills are essential. Experience in Right Heart and Left Heart Hemodynamics, Cardiac Interventions, CTO, PCI, Pericardiocentesis, Vascular Interventions, RotoPro, LVADs, AngioVac, and FlowTriever is required. Experience with Mechanical Circulatory Support including ECMO, Impella, IABP, and ProtekDuo is mandatory. Structural Heart experience with TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, CardioMEMS, PFO, ASD, VSD, and Valvuloplasty is necessary. Critical care or cardiac experience is required. Candidates should possess good communication skills and be team-oriented. They must also adhere to safety protocols and standards.
