Located in Yreka, California, the Siskiyou County Office of Education provides direct educational programs for a specific student population and financial oversight of budgets of school districts in Siskiyou County. We provide many services including essential student programs and specialized resources to schools on a countywide basis. We work in partnership with other educational, governmental, and community agencies to bring needed grants and other resources to the students in Siskiyou County. Job Summary

Under the direction of the Program Director, the Administrative Specialist manages resources and administrative processes to ensure that the goals and objectives of the program are accomplished. This position requires a high level of written and oral communication skills for important interactions with enrolled families, community partners, internal contacts, sources of funding, and compliance organizations. The position serves as a part of the leadership team and is responsible for monitoring budgetary and financial data, and assisting with grant applications, public reports, and program policies.

Requirements / Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
•Three (3) years of professional experience related to job duties
•Demonstrated spelling, writing, and proofreading skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Bachelor's degree in a field directly related to the program responsibilities or program services
•Knowledge of Head Start Program Performance Standards
•Knowledge of The Brown Act
•Knowledge of California Child Care Licensing information
