Role - Accountant
*On-site 5 days a week*

Job Description:
Overseeing the general ledger accounting for Production and Delivery costs, excluding payroll and related costs and the preparing the related balance sheet reconciliations. Supports the month-end reporting, preparing month-end closing procedures and assisting with ad-hoc analyses and requests. The successful candidate should have excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles. This role will develop, analyze, coordinate, gather all financial/accounting information and report results to all levels of management within Accounting and Operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Maintain proper accounting in accordance with US GAAP and accounting policy and procedures for Production and Delivery costs, inclusive of related balance sheet accounts as follows:
    • All inventory items
    • Chemical and Supplies
    • Utilities
    • Machinery & equipment repairs and maintenance
    • Company fleet vehicle operating and maintenance costs
  • Record accruals for costs incurred/goods received but not invoiced
  • Support initiatives related to and utilize data from the Company's Management System(s) to assure integrity of information for accounting purposes
  • Complete the Month End Close process
    • Analysis of general ledger accounts
    • Post manual journal entries
    • Prepare monthly reconciliations of general ledger balance sheet accounts
  • Support Management in ad hoc reporting as necessary
  • Partner with Accounts Payable, Procurement, and Operating departments to support accounting operations as needed to assure timely and accurate reporting
  • Assist with external financial audit
  • Accounting and finance special projects as assigned by the Assistant Controller and VP, Controller.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

•Bachelor's degree in Accounting
•CPA or pursuing one
•3-5 years professional accounting experience, audit experience preferred
•Working knowledge of GAAP, including Cost Accounting concepts
•Advanced use of Microsoft Excel and strong knowledge of other Microsoft Office 365 applications
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
