New **QUALIFICATIONS** **:** - High School Diploma or GED required.

- Minimum of three (3) years high volume cooking experience in a hotel, restaurant, club or similar institution required.

- Certificate in food service sanitation (ServSafe or equivalent) required within 90 days of hire date.

- Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance.

- Knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.

- Knowledge of nutrition and diet principles and practices as well as production of therapeutic and mechanically altered diets.

- Skill in proper knife handling techniques.

- Ability to plan and organize work, to interpret instructions, recipes, specifications and standards.

- Ability to understand and apply measurements and conversions.

- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.

- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Regular and predictable attendance is essential for this position.
