About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented MDS Documentation Assistant to join our team at an 80-bed long-term care facility in Rensselaer, NY. The ideal candidate will have experience in a nursing home setting and familiarity with MDS documentation. This role requires the candidate to work on-site, providing essential support to our remote MDS team. We welcome applications from Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) with relevant experience and offer training for MDS documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the MDS team with accurate and timely completion of MDS assessments and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to MDS documentation.
- Collaborate with nursing and administrative staff to gather necessary information for MDS assessments.
- Maintain detailed and organized records of MDS documentation.
- Provide support and training to other staff members on MDS-related tasks as needed.
- Participate in quality assurance activities to improve the accuracy and efficiency of MDS documentation.
- Valid CNA or LPN certification/license in the state of New York.
- Experience working in a nursing home or long-term care facility.
- Familiarity with MDS documentation and regulations preferred; training will be provided.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with computer systems and software used for MDS documentation.
