Thea Energy is seeking an experienced, organized, and motivated Vice President to lead operations. This position will collaborate across an interdisciplinary team to grow a scalable, processes-driven organization as the Company works to integrate numerous first-of-a-kind technologies. The VP Operations will be responsible for building out a world-leading company capable of tackling one of the most consequential and cutting-edge technologies of our generation - fusion energy.

The Thea Energy team is comprised of self-motivated, innovative, and collaborative individuals with an excitement for solving complex problems. This is a challenging position that requires a high degree of autonomy, and the ideal candidate must be able to move quickly. A proven track record of leading systems engineering, excellent communication skills, and a passion for new technologies and innovation is required.

Key Responsibility Areas:

    • Design and implement corporate strategies, plans and procedures necessary for the ongoing growth and development of Thea Energy in alignment with organizational vision
    • Set comprehensive goals for spanning first-of-a-kind fusion technology projects to drive performance and growth
    • Drive strategic initiatives and tactical actions that deliver results to improve program cost and schedule performance. Ensure program milestones and performance goals are achieved
    • Oversee daily operations of the Company, including making critical decisions for programs and managing Company labs
    • Work closely with the CEO and other leaders to support new and ongoing initiatives
    • Drive quality, efficiency, and design excellence
    • Establish policies that promote company culture and long-term goals
    • Champion our company values, DEIA, and workforce development initiatives
    • Author reports and presentations to the internal and external stakeholders covering all matters of importance
    • Manage relationships with stakeholders including investors, partners, and vendors
Ideal Experience & Skillsets:
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or higher
    • 10+ years of relevant experience
    • Demonstrated strategic leadership, planning, and change management skills
    • Strong communication, collaboration, interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, and negotiation skills
    • Ability to innovate, execute, and flourish in a fast-paced environment
    • Exceptional work ethic
    • Prioritization of safety above all else
    • Ability to wear many different hats
    • Team player who is excited to help others
