GENERAL SUMMARY
The Project Accountant reports to the Accounting Manager and supports the group in accounting.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Review and process consultant invoices.
  • Resolve outstanding issues with vendors/consultants.
  • Process selection of payments for consultants and vendors.
  • Review and process billing invoices, addressing any discrepancies.
  • Generate field reports.
  • Complete project setup.
  • Review and correct project budgets and set up for accurate revenue generation.
  • Assist the Project Manager and other team members as needed.
  • Provides help on special tasks requested of the department and requests from the field.
  • Process contracts for consultants and clients.
  • Prepares deposits and processes cash receipts.
  • Provide support for all accounting managers as needed.
  • Close project/tasks after completion for revenue earnings.
  • Maintain accounts receivable to prevent aging.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Good team player with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Proficiency in grasping, translating, and communicating complex technical concepts.
  • Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred experience with Deltek Vision software.
