Description

We're looking to hire a hard-working janitor who can maintain the cleanliness and safety of our building. You'll be responsible for all cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing restrooms with soapy water, and shampooing carpets, in addition to maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and emptying trash. The ideal candidate has a great work ethic, and experience with cleaning equipment and supplies, and takes pride in a job well done. The custodian will be required to work between both of our facilities General cleaning of our Edison building office spaces and our Central building office space with some warehouse cleanup as needed.

WHAT IS E-VERIFY?

E-Verify is an Internet-based system that compares information entered by an employer from an employee's Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, to records available to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration to confirm employment eligibility.

E-Verify is administered by SSA and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

Responsibilities

•Cleaning wood, linoleum, tile, and other flooring types
•Cleaning lunchroom/Breakroom and restocking supplies
•Cleaning refrigerators and microwaves
•Wiping down kitchen equipment and countertops
•Shampooing rugs and carpets
•Emptying warehouse trash cans
•Dusting/ cleaning vents
•Dusting all surfaces High and Low
•Waxing and/or Buffing floors
•Accurate Ordering of cleaning supplies as needed
•Washing inside windows
•Sweeping warehouse floor with dust compound
•Breaking down cardboard boxes to be baled
•Maintaining and organizing inventory
•Using equipment, commercial vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners
•Collecting and taking out Office trash and recycling
•Report hazards to appropriate parties
•Maintain cleaning equipment and products

Qualifications

•Ability to stand and walk for long periods
•Ability to lift and move over 50 pounds
•Knowledge of different cleaning products and tools
•Time management and multitasking abilities
•Physical strength and stamina
•Organization skills
•Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
•Ability to work with minimal supervision
•Ability to operate a pallet jack/ pallet moving equipment
•Basic mathematics skills
