**Description**

**Inventory & Cost Accountant**

The Inventory & Cost Accountant will be responsible for all inventory accounting functions and will work with the inventory and purchasing software to analyze food and beverage costing in the hospitality venues.

**Responsibilities include:**

* Use inventory/purchasing software to track inventory, purchases, and costs.

* Assisting in the improvement in internal controls related to inventory.

* Verifying accuracy of F&B costs.

* Establish and maintain a cost allocation transfer system for food and beverage supplies to the various restaurants.

* Establish and monitor the following operational controllers in the food and beverage outlets: - Menu Items (ensure that they are properly rung up the system). - Cash handling and check settlement. - Operation inventories and reconciliations.

* Developing inventory analysis reports and analyzing variances.

* Prepare and analyze food and beverage costs on a weekly basis and recommend alternatives to improve costs.

* Assist in the month-end food and beverage inventories count, and improvement of month-end inventory process.

* Validate the cost of goods sold as part of the month-end close.

* Assist management in menu costing and standard cost builds for recipes in order to establish menu item sale prices.

* Prepare F&B reports as requested by management.

* Improve EDI process for invoices.

* Preparing monthly journal entries as needed.

* Performing account reconciliations.

* Assist with other accounting tasks as needed.

* Special projects as required.

**Job Requirements**

* Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting required.

* 2-4 years of experience as an inventory or cost accountant for restaurants.

* Is flexible and able to work as part of a team.

* Proficient in MS Excel.

* Very good computer skills.

* Must be willing to work a flexible schedule.

* Knowledge of Compete Radar (Ctuit) is a plus.
