Java Developer

Your role

Are you eager to work as a Java Engineer in a true agile environment where digital products are designed and built using cutting-edge technology for WMA clients and Advisors ? As a Java/Rest API Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs and Java applications that power our systems.

We are looking for a Java Engineer to:
develop modern distributed applications by working in an agile team consisting of Java/UI/QA engineers and WMA business
hands-on experience in building applications in cloud and hybrid models and in application design & development using SDLC methodologies, well versed with Agile process
collaborate with multiple IT & business partners to understand business requirements and develop high performance and scalable solutions
design and develop RESTful APIs and Java applications, ensuring optimal performance and security and integrate APIs with various systems, databases, and third-party services
troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing APIs, ensuring high availability and reliability
maintain code quality, follow coding standards, and participate in code reviews, stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in Java and API development

Your team

You'll be working with Client Self Service Enablement team. We are responsible for WMA (Wealth Management Americas) client facing technology applications. Your role will be accountable for design /implementation of technical solutions with in WMA and timely delivery of projects following agile / scrum SDLC.

You will work closely with front-end and back-end developers, designers, and other partners to collaborate on projects. Your expertise

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
ideally 8+ years of hands-on experience in develop, design, maintenance and integration of distributed application in java J2EE and ideally 6+ years of hands-on experience with web services, micro services
strong knowledge of java, application web services (rest or soap), spring framework, spring boot is a must
strong knowledge of one of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP. Azure preferred
strong knowledge of IT infrastructure such as proxy / web seal / caching / DB is a must; Tomcat and WebSphere application server knowledge is a must; strong analytical, problem solving, debugging skills is a must
experience with enterprise integration and messaging related technologies such as JMS, MQ and/or Kafka
exposure on Cloud integration, Container services and good understanding of Agile based execution processes; able to operate successfully in a matrix environment
experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
