WHAT CAN YOU DO FOR POINTCENTRAL?

As a Software Technical Lead, you'll work collaboratively with our Product Management and Business teams to drive technical discovery, design, and implementation of large-scale applications, products, and platforms. You'll work cross-functionally to identify short-term and long-term solutions and timelines, review and approve proposed solutions, and provide pertinent documentation, direction, and examples to your team.

Very few small companies innovate and develop across such a broad range of technologies as PointCentral. This position is ideal for the candidate who seeks a small, friendly company culture where one can work closely with smart and highly productive people. Getting to work with cutting edge software and hardware to develop outstanding consumer products is the icing on the cake.

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

Be a mentor to our growing engineering department.

Develop full stack software for a wide variety of platforms and technologies.

Engage in the research, evaluation, and application of new technologies and methodologies to solve challenging problems.

Take part in the entire project life cycle, from requirements development to deployment.

Work hard and be flexible: we have quick development cycles, evolving requirements, and lots of cross-team collaboration.

Exercise good judgment. Know when to work quickly, and when to build a robust solution. Your work will be used by multiple business units, so you will need to consider many use cases when developing.

Bring your ideas We want our engineers to collaborate on product development, not blindly build to a spec.

WHAT DO YOU NEED?

Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related field or equivalent work experience

8+ years of professional software development experience

Experience leading and/or mentoring other engineers

Expert object-oriented programming skills; C# and .NET a plus

Significant database design and development experience

Knowledge of networking concepts, principles, and technologies

Experience working with hardware and device development a major plus
