Role: To perform approved consumer loan origination, funding and related responsibilities, for the indirect, direct andremote consumer loan channels. Serves as liaison between the indirect loan dealers, branches, members and theunderwriting department with an emphasis of services and sales of credit union products; provides anexpertise in consumer loan products, answers member phone calls and cross sells credit union products.Resolves loan issues and directs members to the appropriate department or persons, while demonstratingteam participation.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Assists members and potential members with their loan requests. Assists dealers with indirect lending processing needs. Processes consumer loan applications and originates consumer loans for members by phone, indirect lending and/or online. Processes and decisions online membership applications. Returns calls to indirect loan dealers and members on loan and membership decisions, including rates, terms, and any stipulations.
  • Ensures all loan funding and documentation is processed in an accurate, complete, and timely manager, enabling the Credit Union to build on and retain healthy relationships with our local dealer community and members. Assists members, coworkers, and dealer representatives to resolve issues and answer questions.
  • Reviews credit reports to identify opportunities for cross-selling or pre-approvals and provides additional financial solutions to members with existing loans or financial products.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Experience: One or more years of financial institution experience is required.

Education:A high school diploma or GED.

Other skills required:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with all levels of an organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including business writing ability
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions while dealing with a variety of abstract and concrete variables
