Position : Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer II
Location : Downers Grove, IL
Duration : 12 months initially, extendable to 18 months


At least 3 years as a RF Engineer or related position. An RF Engineer must use creativity and sound judgment to provide the proper design and optimization of the portion of the network assigned to them. An RF Engineer also has flexibility in managing their workflow on a daily basis. They need to use their discretion on how much time to spend on a task based on the priority set by management. An RF Engineer must have the ability to interface with cross-functional team members to gain the support required to accomplish their assignments. Minimum Required Skills / Competencies: Solid understanding of RF propagation principles, cellular theory, RF engineering tools and antenna theory. Experience with various drive test units. Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Strong computer skills. TEMS, Actix, Tableau, Power BI, Excel macros and SQL programming a plus. Moderate MapInfo skills Driving record is within company compliance Self-motivated and ability to work under pressure. Education and Experience BS in Engineering, Engineering Technology or equivalent technical degree; or equivalent work experience required.

Engineer will be responsible for following tasks/responsibilities:
Receive and validate daily drive test data logs in Actix and Capstone.
Work with 3rd party Vendor and PMO in updating equipment inventory
Collect serial numbers and track items to proper teams.
Ensure Drive testers are updating any changes in equipment.
Work with team in identifying missing grids and communicating those back to 3rd party for redrives.
Provide support in collecting, compiling and sharing executive readouts for completed drive test areas.
Support team with Work order management. Helping to provide status on completed drives as well as the start of new cluster drives.
Work with PMO and Markets with cluster drive Go/No Go readiness. Participate in GO/NO GO calls.
Works with Capstone and Tachyon in assessing and reconciling cluster readiness.
Helps to communicate key findings that surface from Dry Runs to HQ, helping to fine tune Capstone and Tachyon.
Track and log all pre optimization checks for each cluster.
Create Dashboards, Automation of reports and share weekly updates on progress of Magenta drives.
