Description

RENK Systems Corporation is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the Director Operations position in our growing business base environment. This critical role will report directly to the Managing Director and will be responsible for overseeing all Manufacturing, Procurement, Facilities, Maintenance and Environmental Health and Safety. The Director Operations, along with the support of a well-qualified team of direct reports, will drive efficiency targets, meet production and delivery schedules, set and maintain budgets and ensure a safe and compliant work environment. E ssential Functions: Direct and coordinate with Team Leaders and the respective team of operators to ensure attainment of the Master Production schedule. Responsible for management of purchasing, implementation of procurement policies and maintenance of vendor relationships. Oversee the function and maintenance of facilities, to include acquisition, design and construction and budget management. Establish and enforce Health and Safety Policy and management of preventative measures to favorably impact the safety record. Work with Human Resources to plan for proper staffing, training and cross-training for all employees within Operations. Coordinating with Continuous Improvement for 5S efforts and improvement projects, including cost savings targets. Manage all aspects of annual indirect expense budget. Work with Team Leaders and support groups to achieve direct labor efficiency targets. Ensure compliance to quality standards, completion of audits and improving quality metrics.

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Production and Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or similar discipline Minimum of 12 years of prior related experience Strong background in Lean Manufacturing Ability to lead cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain) to solve manufacturing issues. Requires ability to communicate effectively with broad cross-section of employees. Preferred Additional Skills: Excellent written and verbal skills, good interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, negotiations and time management skills.
