Job Description Summary

The FanThreeSixty Data Scientist will use advanced analytical, machine-learning and data transformation techniques to develop practical tools and analytics that solve complex problems. Success will depend upon the ability to help implement descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics and effectively communicate data driven insights.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Apply a wide range of analytical methods to develop key insights and drive recommended actions Transform data to create and manage meaningful datasets for analysis Define key metrics and insights that help our clients become successful data-driven organizations Provide ongoing tracking and monitoring of metrics and statistical models Assist in developing the internal strategy for data management Work with other team members to define and solve analytical problems and document results and methodologies Collaborate with internal business stakeholders including Engineering, Product, and Client Success as well as external clients Effectively communicate results of analyses to both technical and non-technical audiences including weaknesses that may be inherent in the data and modeling approach Educate others on applicable techniques such as hypothesis testing, statistical calculations, and machine learning Demonstrate a desire and ability to learn new techniques and tools as necessary Implement enhancements and fixes to the systems as needed Represent FanThreeSixty in a professional manner at all times Perform other related tasks as assigned

Skills And Experience

Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science or other related field One (1) to three (3) years of experience analyzing large datasets and communicating data insights to stakeholders Experience conducting analysis in Python, SQL, and/or R Experience in the use of statistical packages such as Pandas Experience with data visualization with tools such as Tableau Familiarity with traditional SQL databases, and exposure to NoSQL concepts Familiarity with basic principles of distributed computing and/or distributed databases Knowledge of one or more business/functional areas such as sales or marketing Proficient in the Google Apps Suite
